I’m a guild leader and have been one for many years.
It’s a big learning curve when you run a guild.
You have to manage and encourage teamwork, work with personalities who may not get along, trust your vice leaders to handle things when you aren’t around, work out the skills and abilities in your team and you have to manage all of them whilst dealing with other guilds.
You have to do a lot of thinking outside of the box because just because it should be always the same, it’s often not, so you have to think up better ways of doing things.
Thinking outside the box is also about being adaptable and accepting of change.
The final point is Love what you do. If you play a video game, you do it because it’s something you love doing.
If you are a leader of your guild, then you are doing it because you love doing it. Take that thinking to your current role and love that you are a leader.
Being a leader is one of the most rewarding things I have done in both my guild and my working life.
